    | 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. | 2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon until smooth. | 3. Add the two kinds of oats, one at a time mixing well after each addition. | 4. Add whole wheat flour, ground flax, baking soda and raisins and mix well to incorporate into the stiff dough. | 5. Take the dough out of the bowl and place on a cutting board or a flat surface. | 6. Roll the dough out with your hands into a 1 1/2 inch diameter cylinder. | 7. With a serrated edged knife, cut the roll into 1/2 inch thick discs. | 8. Place the discs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. | 9. In a preheated 375° oven bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown. | 10. Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 30 minutes. | 11.
