    | 1. Beat the egg and sugar together until light. | 2. Mix in the honey, cinnamon, cloves and baking soda. | 3. Gradually stir in the flour and beat the batter till blended. | 4. Pour into a buttered baking pan that has been dusted with flour. | 8. Smooth the top and sprinkle the silvered almonds. | 9. Bake in a moderate oven for 15- 20 minutes. | 10.
