    | 1. Dice carrots and onions. | 2. Finely chop garlic. | 3. Chop Swiss chard. | 4. Add olive oil to a 4 lt pot and sautee garlic, onion, carrots and Italian parsley for 10 minutes on medium heat. Stir occasionally. | 5. Add the tomato sauce (low salt is best) water, chard and beans and bring to a boil, then turn heat down to a simmer and simmer for 20 minutes. | 6. I didn't but you may wish to add salt to taste. I find the tomato sauce used has plenty of salt for this recipe. | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
