    | 1. Heat butter in a skillet and saute livers over medium heat about 3 minutes until brown, but still pink inside. | 2. Remove and season with salt& pepper, chop coarsely and put aside. | 3. Heat the oil on medium heat. | 4. Add onion and garlic and saute until soft. | 5. Add rice, saute until rice just starts to take on a clear color. | 6. Don't scorch the rice. | 7. Add broth and tomato sauce. | 8. Mix well and bring to a boil. | 9. Add all other ingredients, except livers. | 10. Cover& cook over med. | 11. heat for about 10 minutes. | 12. Stir lightly with a fork, reduce heat, cover and cook for about 10 minutes more until liquid is almost absorbed. | 13. Mix in the livers, stir,cover. | 14. Cover and cook until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is cooked through. | 15. Add more liqid if needed (a little water is okay). | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
