    | 1. Preheat oven to 350. | 2. Mixe one cup flour and 1/3 cup sugar in mixing bowl. | 3. Cut in butter, using pastry blener or crisscrossing 2 knives, until crumbly. | 4. Press in ungreased square baking pan, 9 x9 inches. | 5. Bake 25 minutes. | 6. Mix 1/3 cup sugar, 2 tbsp flour and cinnamon in a small bowl. | 7. Stir in apples to coat. | 8. Spoon over baked layer. | 9. Sprinkle with crumb topping. | 10. Bake 35- 40 minutes or until topping is light brown and apples are tender. | 11. Cool completely. | 12.
