    | 1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. | 2. Sieve Flour, baking soda & spices into a bowl. | 3. Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. | 4. Add eggs one at a time and continue to beat. | 5. Fold in Flour Mixture, raisins, Mixed peel, Almonds and Mixed Fruit. | 6. Add Guinness & Mix well. | 7. Turn in to a greased and floured 8 inch round cake pan or 8x8 square pan. | 8. Bake in the center of oven ( 300°F) for 120 minutes, checking cake at intervals after 90 minutes; cover if neccessary to prevent overbrowning. | 9. It's done when a wooden pick inserted in the middle comes out clean. | 10.
