    | 1. Preheat oven to 320 degrees F (160 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch square baking dish. | 2. Beat eggs and 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar in a large bowl using an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment until smooth. Cut the cooled cake carefully in half horizontally. Place one layer on a serving plate and spread half of the cream filling on it. Top with the second layer.
