    | 1. Preheat oven to 350 deg F. | 2. Line a 13 x 9 cake pan with parchment paper and grease. | 3. Melt butter in a saucepan. | 4. In a large mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and vanilla extract. Add eggs, melted butter and hot water and mix until smooth.Add chocolate chips and nuts. | 5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. | 6. While cake is baking make the frosting. Mix butter, chopped chocolate, syrup and coffee and heat in a double boiler until melted. Stir until smooth. | 7.
