    | 1. Butter heavy saucepan, melt butter or margarine, stir in brown sugar, stir thoroughly, stir in corn syrup stirring thoroughly. | 2. Gradually add the condensed milk stirring constantly until all sugar dissolves and mixture comes to boiling. | 3. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture registers 235°F on candy thermometer. | 4. Cool and stir in vanilla. | 5. Chill. | 6. Caramel should be slightly sticky. | 7. Toast pecans in a 300°F oven for 15 or 20 minutes. | 8. Cool. | 9. Arrange pecans on cookie sheet spoke fashion, four for legs and one for head. | 10. Drop one teaspoon of caramel mix in center of pecans. | 11. Chill. | 12. Melt chocolate wafers and spoon over caramel. | 13. Chill. | 14. Turn over and do the other side with chocolate. | 15.
