    | 1. Heat oven to 180°C. | 2. Cut bread into cubes. | 3. Place in large shallow ovenproof dish. | 4. Sprinkle with sugar. | 5. Heat milk and margarine to lukewarm. | 6. Beat eggs and vanilla extract and add to milk. | 7. Pour over bread and leave to soak inches. | 8. Bake for 40 mins til set. | 9. TOPPING: | 10. Beat topping ingredients together and spread evenly over bread pudding as soon as it comes out the oven. | 11. Place pudding back into oven and bake for a further 20- 25 mins till well set and golden brown. | 12.
