    | 1. Cut french bread into 1& 1/2 inch slices. | 2. Place slices on a wire rack and let stand overnight. | 3. In a large bowl whip together the orange juice, whipping cream, eggs, cinnamon, mutmeg, ginger and sugar. | 4. Whisk until very well blended and frothy. | 5. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan. | 6. Lay bread on top of egg mixture for 1 minute. | 7. Turn and let stand for 5-10 minutes. | 8. In a large heavy skilled melt half the butter over medium high heat. | 9. Place half the soaked bread into the hot pan and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. | 10. Turn and brown the other side. | 11. Remove and set aside. | 12. Repeat with the remaining butter and soaked bread slices. | 13. Serve hot with sliced fruit, powdered sugar and syrup. | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
