    | 1. Brown ground beef in an large pan or skillet. | 2. Add onion, celery, garlic and peppers (optional). | 3. Saute 5 minutes. | 4. Drain grease, I pour my into a large colander. | 5. Add chili powder, start with 1 T, you can always add more later! | 6. Add salt and pepper. | 7. Pour in all the tomatoes and drained kidney beans. | 8. Cook 2-3 hours to let the flavor develop. | 9. Add in more chili powder if you desire. | 10. Stir the cornmeal and water together and mix into the chili to thicken. | 11. Serve with your favorite toppings - ours are Fritos, onions and shredded cheddar! | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
