    | 1. Preheat oven to 350*. | 2. In medium sauce pan, fry sausages until they are browned. | 3. Drain the grease. | 4. Cut in 1 inch or 2 inch pieces, set aside. | 5. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and milk in a medium bowl. | 6. In a separate bowl blend flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well. | 7. Add to creamed mixture. | 8. Spray Pam in square 10 inch baking pan. | 9. Pour half of the batter in the pan. | 10. Place sausage pieces evenly over the batter. | 11. Pour remaining batter over the sausages. | 12. Bake 30-40 minutes. | 13. Cut in squares and serve hot. | 14. Serve with toppings if desired. | 15. Toppings are adapted to this recipe from my German heritage. | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
