    | 1. SAUCE Place olive oil in large skillet. | 2. Add garlic and brown for about 2 minutes. | 3. Add ground beef and brown. | 4. Drain off excess grease. | 5. Add crushed tomatoes. | 6. Add tomato paste. | 7. Add nutmeg, oregano and salt and pepper to taste. | 8. Simmer for at least 1 hour. | 9. While this is cooking prepare the filling. | 10. FILLING Trim ends from spinach. | 11. Cook until wilted. | 12. Drain off all excess liquid and squeeze dry. | 13. Beat 2 eggs. | 14. Add cottage cheese and spinach. | 15. Add 1 cup of Italian blend cheese. | 16. Salt and pepper. | 17. CRUST Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. | 18. Spray a 13x9 pan (preferrably glass) with non stick spray. | 19. Pour sauce into pan. | 20. Top with filling. | 21. Cover with rest of cheese. | 22. Take one sheet of Phyllo at a time and brush with melted butter until you have 8 layers. | 23. Bake at 350 deg. | 24. for 1 hour or until top is golden brown. | 25. Let stand for at least 15 minutes. | 26. Cut into squares and serve. | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
