    | 1. chop onion to desired size. | 2. trim all fat from meat, and cut to desired serving sizes. | 3. in a large pot melt 1 Tbsp shortening, and saute onions till soft. remove and set aside. | 4. add other 2 Tbsp shortening brown meat. | 5. after meat is browned, add onions,and tomatoes with juice, reserving 1/3 can of juice to mix the flour. | 6. cover and simmer on medium heat for 1 hour. | 7. add salt and pepper. | 8. while this is simmering, mix flour and reserved tomatoe juice till smooth. | 9. after an hour remove meat and set aside. | 10. (this makes it easier to to stir in flour- juice mixture.). | 11. still simmering, and flour-juice mixture and stir till mixed in well. | 12. add meat back. | 13. cover and simmer for 15 minutes. | 14. serve over spaghetti. | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
