Add the dry ingredients, the cherries with liquid and combine to make a stiff dough. | 7. Divide dough in half. | 8. This is where to wet your hands. | 9. Shape each piece of dough into 12 inch logs by 2 inches wide. | 10. flatten slightly. | 11. Leave at least four inches between the two logs. | 12. Bake for 30 minutes. | 13. The logs at this time should be firm and show signs of cracks on top. | 14. Remove, and place on wire rack to cool 10 minutes. | 15. When cooled cut into 1/2 inch slices. | 16. Place back onto parchment cut side down. | 17. Return to oven bake another 8 minutes. | 18. Turn each slice over and bake 7 more minutes. | 19. Remove from oven and place on wire rack. | 20.
