    | 1. With mixer cream butter and sugar, add eggs and almond extract. | 2. Mix until well blended. | 3. On low gradually mix in flour, salt and nuts. Mix just until blended. | 4. Chill 1-2 hours. | 5. Preheat oven to 350°F. | 6. Roll dough into long pencil like strips about 1/2" in diameter. | 7. Cut strips into 3" long pieces and bend into horseshoe shapes. | 8. Place on lined cookie sheet 2" apart. | 9. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned. | 10. Remove carefully with metal spatula. | 11. Roll in sugar 10x's and cool on rack. Store in airtight container. | 12. Can be frozen for later use. Just thaw in refrigerator over night.
