    | 1. Crumb Topping: blend together the butter, sugar and flour to form crumbles. Set aside. | 2. Line pie pan with pastry. | 3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. | 4. Arrange apples in neat rings in pan. | 5. Place sugar, flour, salt, ginger and cinnamon in a mixing bowl. | 6. Stir in cream gradually blending as it is added. Pour over apples. | 7. Cover with aluminum foil. | 8. Bake until apples are soft, about 40 minutes. | 9.
