    | 1. Preheat oven 350°. | 2. Grease 8-inch round (or regular loaf pan). | 3. Place raisins in microwave safe bowl. Cover with water; micro on high 1 minute. Cover bowl with plate allowing raisins to plump. | 4. Cool, drain and dust with 1 tablespoon flour. | 5. Cream shortening and sugar. | 6. Add egg mixing well. | 7. Stir flour, baking powder and salt together. | 8. Add to creamed mixture along with raisins, caraway seeds and milk. | 9. Mix together briefly till moistened. | 10. Pour batter into pan. | 11. Bake at 350° for 45-55 minutes till bread tests done with toothpick. | 12.
