    | 1. Place chopped apples in lightly salted water while preparing the batter. | 2. Beat together oil and white and brown sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, until well blended. | 3. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to egg-sugar mixture, mixing well. | 4. Stir in well drained apples, nuts, and vanilla. | 5. Spread evenly into lightly oiled and floured bundt or tube type pan. | 6. Bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hours or until done. Cool in pan 20 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely. | 7. To make glaze, mix all glaze ingredients in a small sauce pot and bring to a boil. Boil 1 minute.
