    | 1. Heat oven to 325°F. | 2. Spread nuts on baking sheet and toast in the oven until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. | 3. Cool and chop. | 4. With an electric mixer set at medium low speed, beat butter, sugar, salt and almond extract until creamy. | 5. On low speed, beat in flour until mixture just comes together. | 6. Stir in nuts. | 7. Chill until firm. | 8. Roll into approximately 1-inch balls. | 9. Put on ungreased baking sheets. | 10. Bake until golden brown on bottom, 15 to 18 minutes. | 11. Cool completely on wire racks. | 12. Chop chocolate, put in a small bowl and melt in a 250°F oven. | 13. Put coconut in a bowl. | 14. Drop cookies, one at a time, into chocolate. | 15. Coat and remove with a fork, letting excess drip off. | 16. Drop the cookies into coconut. | 17. Lightly press coconut onto the cookies. | 18.
