    | 1. Mix scalded milk and molasses. Mix sugar, corn meal, salt, cinnamon, and ginger, and add to the scalded milk and molasses mixture. | 2. Cook slowly, stirring constantly, about 5 minutes. Pour into a prepared baking dish and dot with butter. | 3. Bake 1 hour in a 300 degrees F oven. Remove from oven, stir in one cup of milk, and bake for 2 hours longer. | 4. Serve warm.
