    | 1. Soak the green gram for 6-8 hours (overnight). | 2. The next day, when yu are to prepare it, heat oil in a skillet. | 3. Add methi seeds and red chillies. | 4. Fry for 1-2 minutes. | 5. Add the coconut and turmeric powder. | 6. Mix well. | 7. Grind in a mixer/grinder, adding water as required to get a smooth paste. | 8. Cook the sprouted green gram with 3/4 cup of water and 3/4 tsp. | 9. salt. | 10. Keep aside. | 11. In a non-stick pan, add 2 tbsps. | 12. oil and heat on medium flame. | 13. When hot, add the onion and fry till golden brown. | 14. Add the tomato and fry for 2 minutes. | 15. Add 3/4 tsp. | 16. salt or to taste. | 17. Add the ground coconut masala. | 18. Fry for 2 minutes. | 19. Add the cooked sprouted green gram. | 20. Mix well. | 21. Cook for 5 minutes. | 22. Garnish with fresh corriander leaves (chopped). | 23.
