    | 1. Brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain excess fat. | 2. Stir in mushrooms, seasonings, tomato sauce and tomatoes. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning. | 3. Beat together cream cheese, sour cream and green onions. | 4. Cook noodles in boiling salted water until almost tender. Drain and toss with butter. In a buttered 9 x 13 baking dish, spread about half the noodles. Top with half of the meat sauce, then half of the cream cheese mixture. | 5. Repeat layers. | 6. Sprinkle cheese over top. | 7.
