    | 1. Combine flour and seasonings in a plastic bag. | 2. Add beef and shake to coat. | 3. In a large stew pot (or Dutch oven) brown meat in hot oil. | 4. Add tomatoes, onions, water, wine and maple syrup. | 5. Bring to a boil. | 6. Cover, simmer over low heat for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs or until meat is tender. | 7. Add potatoes, carrots and celery and continue cooking 45-60 mins or until veggies are tender. | 8.
