    | 1. TO PREPARE AHEAD: | 2. Slice chicken across the grain into pieces 1/8 inch thick. | 3. Toss chicken and marinade in a bowl. | 4. Mix well. | 5. Let stand 30 minutes. | 6. Wash and drain broccoli and cut into bite size pieces. | 7. Mix ingredients for thickening sauce in a small bowl. | 8. TO COOK: Heat 2 tablespoons oil in wok or frying pan over high heat. | 9. Add broccoli and salt and stir fry for 4 minutes. | 10. (Add a teaspoon of water if it gets too dry.) Transfer to a plate. | 11. Wipe out the wok or pan with a paper towel. | 12. Pour in 3 tablespoons oil. | 13. When hot add chicken, garlic and green onions. | 14. Stir fry until chicken is cooked firm and white, about 4 to 5 minutes. | 15. Return broccoli to wok and add thickening sauce. | 16. Stir until thick. | 17. Serve with rice. | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
